System of Record

The system of record is the system that hosts your software application written in DBL, including the file-based database where the application stores its data. This database uses the Synergy Data Management System (SDMS) on Windows and Linux or Record Management Services (RMS) on OpenVMS IA64.

The Streaming Integration Platform is not supported on systems running on traditional UNIX (IBM AIX, HP-UX, Solaris, etc.) or on OpenVMS Alpha systems because of dependencies on products or libraries that are not available on those platforms.

Windows System Requirements

  • Windows 11 or Windows Server 2022 or higher (see note 1)
    • Mainstream support for Windows Server 2022 ends on October 13, 2026; after that date, Windows Server 2025 will be required
  • Synergy/DE 12.3.1 or higher

Linux System Requirements

    • For MUSL-based distros: musl 1.2.2 or later
      • Alpine, postmarketOS, etc.
  • Synergy/DE 12.3.1 or higher

OpenVMS System Requirements

  • VSI OpenVMS V8.4-3 on an IA64 (Integrity) system
    • Synergy does not support OpenVMS on VAX or X86
    • Integration Platform does not support OpenVMS on Alpha/AXP due to unavailable dependencies
